Australia’s Massive Salt Project Leading to Shortages of HDPE Geomembrane 
The BCI Mardie Potash project is requiring massive quantities of HDPE geomembranes and has created supply shortages. Industry estimates put the total required HDPE geomembrane required in the range 15-20 Mill m2 making it the largest single project using HDPE geomembranes.
So far Solmax has supplied ~4 Mill m2 and Atarfil 2 Mill m2 while a Chinese supplier BPM (Best Project Material Co., Ltd) is supplying up to a whopping ~10 Mill m2.
Installation of the geomembrane has been done jointly by Merit and Jaylon.
