BREAKING NEWS

New Concrete Canvas GCCM Patent to be Granted for Third Generation Technology
This development grows Concrete Canvas’ global IP portfolio to 99 granted Patent Rights

ATARFIL Develops Machine for the Automated Deployment, Welding and Installation of Geomembranes
The deployment machine, welding machine, installation equipment and method for the automated installation of geomembranes relate to a deployment machine and a welding machine which, in combination, form equipment for the automated installation of geomembranes or membranes. Specifically, the equipment comprises an automatic deployment machine (1) for the deployment of geomembrane rolls (2); a welding machine (3) for welding the deployed geomembranes (2 and 2′) which is electronically connected and has self-guiding capability to automatically correct its path and ensure a preset overlapping of the membrane or geomembranes (2) by working in synchronization with the displacement of the deployment machine (1); and a computer control and planning unit. The method comprises: a step for parameterization and mapping of the terrain using 3D topography; a step for planning the deployment and welding using a specific computer system; and a step for deployment and welding comprising simultaneous and automated deployment and welding using a deployment machine (1) and a welding machine (3) synchronized with one another, with a geolocation positioning system and a process monitoring system.

World First – Tensar Patent Fully Internet Enable Geogrid for Tracking
Disclosed are various aspects for systems and methods of lifecycle tracking, coordinate tracking, and inventory management of geogrid materials utilizing an IoT platform configured with software for accepting data from a multi-sensor tracking unit. In one aspect, a multi-sensor tracking unit is affixed to geogrid material, wherein the unit transmits information acquired from a plurality of sensors back to the IoT platform hosted on a server. The IoT platform processes the information and derives insight into the geogrid’s logistics, including its route from the manufacturing facility to final install, the weather incurred, and logistics around supply. In other aspects, methods for processing data, including accessing API’s to derive additional information about the geogrid’s transportation path, delivery, and install through information acquired from the multi-sensor tracking unit and processing by the IoT platform.

NEW PATENTS

HYPER FIBERS S.R.L. Patent Novel Geosynthetic Containment Sheet
Containment sheet comprising a flexible weave defined by a plurality of reinforcement strips (3) interwoven with each other in a warp and weft pattern

New Sludge Treatment System Using a Horizontal Drain Board with a Multi-Layer Geotextile Bag
In the invention, a sludge treatment technology adopting flocculation-horizontal drain board vacuum preloading combining multi-layer sealed geotextile bag is disclosed, which comprises sealed geotextile bags and a geomembrane for sludge grouting and filling. The sealed geotextile bag and the geomembrane have two splicing modes, one is to place a layer of geomembrane inside and close to the inner side of the sealed geomembrane; the other is to wrap and seal the outside of the geotextile with geomembrane. A horizontal drainage system for vacuum drainage is set inside the sealed geotextile bag, with one end of the horizontal drain board being connected to a vacuum drainage pipe, and the drainage pipe passes through the sealed geotextile bag via a flange and is connected to the vacuum pump used for pumping the water in the sealed geotextile bag. Sludge includes engineering waste mud, river sludge and industrial sludge. A horizontal drainage system is added inside the sealed geotextile bag and combining with flocculant for sludge dewatering, and the sealed geotextile bag can be stacked in several layers to form a stacking effect on the lower structure through the self weight of the upper layer, thus making the drainage effect faster and the dewatering efficiency higher.
