GSE Awarded Patent for New CoalDrain™ Geocomposite Product (Breaking News)
The Coaldrain patent (US patent #9566775) is entitled Geosynthetic composite for filtration and drainage of fine-grained geomaterials.
GSE CoalDrain™, a highly engineered geocomposite designed specifically for Coal Combustion Residuals (CCR) replaces the filter layer and the leachate collection layer in a typical Subtitle D liner system.
Extensive laboratory and field performance tests  have demonstrated that GSE CoalDrain™ geocomposite effectively allowed for unimpeded flow of liquids and did not let coal ash particles pass through.
