Proposed Sale of Maccaferri at a Valuation of 700 million Euros is Courting Widespread Interest from Solmax to Bekaert
Officine Maccaferri Recently Posted Record Results : Revenues rise to 666.7 Million Euros and EBITDA soared to 89 million Euro. The turnaround of the Officine Maccaferri group with record results has seen it put on the market by shareholder funds. Maccaferri have hired Lazard as financial advisor and DLA Piper and Latham Watkins as legal advisors and has already found the interest of industrial giants and private equity funds. In the running are Solmax, Bekaert (a Belgian company that deals with the production, processing, transformation and coating of steel wires and cables) and a host of private equity funds namely Permira, Blackstone, CVC, Rhone Capital and Rivean Capital.
