New Software for Modelling Geomembranes on Slopes and Leakage Rates
The SVSLOPE and the SVFLUX software packages are useful for problems related to geomembranes. Geomembranes may be entered as thin layers in SVSLOPE and the resulting impact on the slope stability may be quantified. SVFLUX is particularly well-suited for the evaluation of rips or tears in geomembranes in that the mesh refinement can reduce potential numerical problems with the calculation of leakage through a small tear.
